Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Vocation Group visits Arba Minch
On August 24th, Sister Hanna Dimma and Sister Asnakech Asefa had the pleasure of accompanying our the Vocation Group of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Dubbo, Ethiopia, on an exciting trip to Arba Minch.
Before departing from Dubbo, Sister Asnakech led the group in a heartfelt prayer, setting the tone for a joyful journey filled with songs and praises to God.
Upon arriving in Arba Minch, the group visited the local zoo, where they were delighted to see a variety of animals, including crocodiles. The experience of observing these creatures in their natural habitats was a highlight for many and brought great enjoyment.
As the journey continued, the group stopped at one of the oldest hotels in the area. There, they took a moment to refresh themselves and enjoy the breathtaking view of two lakes meeting from different directions, alongside a stunning mountain. This picturesque location provided the perfect backdrop for a group photo, capturing the joyous spirit of the day.
The next stop was the Catholic Church, where the Holy Spirit Fathers welcomed them warmly. The church doors were opened, allowing the group to enter and thank God for their safe travels. In a moment of unity and gratitude, the group sang a beautiful song in appreciation for the Lord's blessings. The group had brought along their lunch, consisting of big bread and water, which they shared in a designated area shown by the priest. Aba Desalegn blessed the meal, and everyone enjoyed the shared experience. The priest also kindly offered them coffee, enhancing the sense of community and hospitality.
Before leaving, the group expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Holy Spirit Fathers for their warm welcome and generosity. They requested the priest to conclude their visit with a prayer and blessing, which he graciously provided. With spirits uplifted and hearts full, the group continued their journey, singing, praising God, and sharing laughter.
