Candlelight procession in honor of our Mother

On the 14th of February, a significant event took place at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Dubbo, Ethiopia. It happened with a Marian procession that attracted participants from all over Ethiopia. The procession was a part of the annual celebration of Our Lady of Lourdes, a cherished occasion for many in the Catholic community.

The event was not only a local affair but also saw the participation of international guests who came to join the faithful in this annual devotion. The atmosphere was one of unity and reverence, as people came together to honor our Lady.

The following day, on the 15th of February, the celebrations continued with a Eucharistic celebration that was co-celebrated by two prominent bishops: Bishop Dejene Hidoto Gamo, O.F.M. Cap, of the Vicarate of Soddo, and Bishop Merhakristos Gobezayehu Getachew Yilma, of the Vicarate of Hawassa. Their presence added a profound spiritual dimension to the Mass, making it a truly memorable event for all attendees.

The procession and the subsequent Mass were indeed a wonderful celebration, highlighting the deep faith and devotion of the community and the significance of Our Lady of Lourdes in their spiritual lives.
