Helping children promote healthy habits

In 2020 the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (MSC) partnered with the University of Milan to host students of the Master in Global Health (MGH) for their field internship.

Since then, every year small groups of MGH students are placed at Cabrini Ministries in Eswatini and Cabrini Guatemala to get first hand experience in healthcare facilities supporting underserved communities.

Working with vulnerable children and families struggling with financial constraints and limited access to healthcare services in Eswatini and Guatemala has inspired 4 students to write a book to promote heath literacy among young children.

The book guides parents and children in understanting what microbes, how they spread, and how to adopt healty behaviours.
