Summary of the Third Day of our Leadership Training

The 25th of March marked the third day of our leadership training, focusing on the theme of transitioning from autonomy to empowerment through solidarity. This day was dedicated to exploring the dynamics of power and understanding how it shapes our leadership abilities and interactions.

One of the sessions in progress

During our sessions, we delved into various types of power, such as positional power, relational power, personal power and many more. Participants shared their diverse experiences with power, which highlighted the unique ways in which each of us can wield influence. It was truly inspiring to witness the realization of our own potential and the strength we possess when we come together.

An essential part of our discussions centered around how gender and culture impact our perception and exercise of power. We examined the societal and cultural norms that affect our leadership roles and how they can either hinder or enhance our ability to empower others. This introspective analysis fostered a greater understanding of the barriers we may encounter and the strategies we can employ to overcome them.

We concluded the enriching day with a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Fr.Tesfay, providing a moment of reflection and unity. The celebration was a fitting end to a day filled with learning and growth, allowing us to gather in a spirit of gratitude and community.

In summary, Day Three of our leadership training was a powerful reminder of the significance of solidarity. By understanding and embracing our power, influenced by our gender and culture, we can move from autonomy to true empowerment.
