Final Day of our Training
The 26th of March marked the conclusion of our training program, focusing on the profound theme of the Spiritual and Ethical Dimensions of Leadership. It was a day of reflection, sharing, and celebration, leaving us with a deeper understanding of how spirituality and ethics intersect to influence our roles as leaders.
Our day began with discussions on the meaning of spirituality. Participants shared personal insights and experiences, highlighting what nurtures their spiritual well-being. We discovered that spirituality is a deeply personal journey, enriched by diverse practices and beliefs, yet universally significant in guiding our actions and decisions.
We also delved into the core concepts of values and ethics. We recognized that values are the beliefs we hold dear, forming the foundation of our ethical framework. Ethics, in turn, is the manifestation of these values in our daily lives, particularly when faced with challenging situations. This exploration underscored the importance of living authentically and consistently with our core principles.
The afternoon was dedicated to project presentations from various missions and ministries. Each presentation showcased innovative approaches and impactful initiatives. The diversity of projects enriched our understanding and inspired greater commitment to our work.
Following the presentations, all participants were awarded certificates of participation, recognizing their dedication and engagement throughout the training. Our Regional Superior, Sr. Barbara Staley expressed gratitude to the presenters for their enlightening contributions and to all us for our active participation and enthusiasm.
The day concluded with a Eucharistic celebration led by Bishop Tesfaye Tadesse Gebresilasie, M.C.C.I., Auxiliary Bishop of Addis Ababa. This was followed by a celebratory dinner that featured cultural sharing, enriching our understanding of each other's backgrounds and fostering a deeper sense of community. As we look back on this final day of training, we carry forward the insights and experiences we've gained, ready to lead with greater spiritual awareness and ethical integrity.
