Filseta Mariam Kindergarten's Christmas Celebration

Sr. Amarech Lefamo and the Filseta Mariam Kindergarten Staff

On Thursday, January 1st, the students and teachers of Filseta Mariam Kindergarten in Sadama came together to celebrate a joyous Christmas event. The celebration was filled with warmth, laughter, and the spirit of togetherness as the children showcased their talents in a delightful drama.

The highlight of the celebration was a touching play performed by the kindergarten students. The drama depicted the birth of Jesus, bringing to life the story with innocence and charm. It was truly heartwarming to see the young children express their gifts and talents with such enthusiasm. The teachers played an essential role, guiding and supporting the students in their performance, ensuring everything went smoothly.

After the play, everyone enjoyed some refreshments, adding to the festive atmosphere of the day. It was a time for students, teachers, and our sisters(Sr. Amarech Lefamo and Sr. Evarlyne Ndeti) to mingle and share the joy of the season. The event concluded with the students heading home, ready to continue the celebrations with their families.

With the kindergarten event marking the beginning of the festive period, the children will spend the next few days at home, celebrating Ethiopian Christmas with their loved ones. This time is important for family bonds and cultural traditions, as families gather to honor this special occasion.

The Christmas celebration at Filseta Mariam Kindergarten was a beautiful reminder of the joy and unity that this time of year brings. It was a day filled with smiles, creativity, and the spirit of giving, leaving everyone with cherished memories.
