Educational Trip to Areka and Dubbo Schools in Ethiopia
Sr. Amarech Lefamo with the teachers from Areka & Sadama
The teachers from Filseta Mariam Kindergarten recently embarked on an enriching educational trip to our schools in Areka and Dubbo. The initiative was brilliantly organized by Sr. Amarech Herego, who recognized the importance of connecting our teachers in Sadama with other Cabrinian institutions. The trip was not only meant to familiarize them with the schools but also to deepen their understanding of our unique charisms, particularly the Cabrinian Education of the Heart.
The day commenced with the teachers joining the Areka school for morning class sessions. This provided them with an excellent opportunity to observe the teaching methods employed by Areka's educators. The Sadama teachers actively participated, offering help whenever needed, and gained valuable insights into effective teaching strategies and classroom management techniques.
After a delightful lunch, the group proceeded to the Dubbo school for the afternoon teaching sessions. Here, they continued to expand their knowledge by engaging with Dubbo's educational practices. The sessions were interactive and allowed Sadama teachers to witness diverse approaches to education, emphasizing the importance of a holistic learning environment.
As the day concluded, the teachers returned to Sadama with hearts full of gratitude and minds enriched with new lessons. This educational trip not only strengthened professional ties but also enriched the personal growth of the educators involved. It illustrated the power of collective learning and the enduring impact of a shared educational mission.
