Celebration of the Feast of St. Stephen at St. Anne Parish

On the 18th of January, the youth members of St. Anne Parish in Sadama, Ethiopia, gathered to commemorate the Feast of St. Stephen, their patron saint. The day was marked by a series of joyous and meaningful activities that brought together parishioners of all ages.

The celebration began with a solemn Mass presided over by Abba Geziegn Mancha , who was also celebrating a significant milestone of his 25th Anniversary of priesthood. The Mass was a moment of spiritual reflection and gratitude, as the community came together to honor both St. Stephen and Abba Gezeign's dedicated service. Following the Mass, the youth members offered refreshments to the parishioners. This gesture of hospitality fostered a sense of community and allowed everyone to share conversation . It was a time for the parishioners to connect and enjoy each other's company.

The highlight of the day was a play performed by the youth, depicting the life of St. Stephen. Through their performance, they brought to life the story of the first Christian martyr, showcasing his unwavering faith and dedication. The play was both educational and engaging, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

After the play, the parishioners enjoyed a series of interesting games organized by the youth. These activities were designed to be inclusive and fun, encouraging participation from everyone present. Laughter and smiles filled the air as people of all ages joined in the merriment. At the end of the play, there were some awards for the winners.
