Annual Pre-Christmas Celebration with Cabrini Ministries Ethiopia

On January 5th, Cabrini Ministries Ethiopia joined the students and teachers of Areka, Dubbo, and Walacha schools to partake in annual Ethiopian Christmas tradition. These three schools operate under the guidance of Cabrini Ministries Ethiopia, which has long been committed to fostering educational excellence.

Each year, this celebration unfolds just before the Ethiopian Christmas school break. It is a day filled with joy, reflection, and unity, providing a moment for everyone to come together and celebrate the spirit of the season.

The day is filled with various activities that bring smiles to the faces of all attendees. The children enthusiastically participate in the nativity play, a powerful reminder of the Christmas story. They recite Bible verses with sincerity and confidence, showcasing their understanding and appreciation of their cultural and religious heritage.

The air is filled with the delightful sounds of singing, as students and teachers alike join in harmony to perform traditional and seasonal songs.  Following the entertainment, everyone gathers to enjoy a meal together. The meal is often accompanied by the distribution of candies, a sweet treat that brings additional cheer to the young ones.

As the event concludes, students are sent home with warm wishes to spend quality time with their families. This brief holiday allows them to embrace the joy of Christmas with their loved ones, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
