Vocational Ministry Outreach in Shone, Ethiopia

On July 19th, 2026, our sisters in Sadama embarked on a heartwarming vocational ministry outreach. Their destination was Our Lady of Consolata Parish in Shone, where they aimed to inspire and engage with the Parish youth.

The day began with the sisters attending the Sunday Mass, which was presided over by Fr. Timothy Wanjala, I.M.C. His inspiring homily set the tone for a day filled with faith and community spirit. The Mass provided a serene and reflective environment, allowing everyone to gather their thoughts and prepare for the meaningful interactions to follow.

Following the Mass, the sisters met with the youth of the parish. The gathering was a wonderful opportunity for the youth to hear personal stories of faith and vocational journeys. The sisters shared their experiences of religious life, offering insights into the joys and challenges they encountered along the way. Their stories served as an encouragement for the youth to remain steadfast in their faith, despite the trials they may face.

The sisters passionately conveyed the importance of faith in everyday life, emphasizing how it can guide decisions and provide comfort in uncertain times. They encouraged the youth to explore their vocations, whether within religious life or in other areas where they feel called to serve. They also taught a song, “Jesus loves you the way you are”. Because answering God’s call is always motivated by His great love towards us.
