The Cabrini Children's First Stage Performance in London
On December 12th, a significant event unfolded at our Sacred Heart Convent in London as the Cabrini children of the Catholic Mothers Apostolate took to the stage for the first time. This special performance marked a significant milestone for both the children and their mothers.
The Sacred Heart Convent, a place steeped in our history and tradition, provided a fitting backdrop for the event. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and anticipation as 130 people gathered to witness the Cabrini children showcase their talents. The audience comprised family members, friends, and supporters of the Catholic Mothers Apostolate, all eager to witness this new chapter in the children's lives.
The Catholic Mothers Apostolate, inspired by the life and work of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, has been a beacon of hope and support for many. Mother Cabrini, known for her dedication to education and care for both women and children, would undoubtedly have been proud to see the young performers taking center stage. The performance was excellent, containing Christmas music and drama reflecting the diverse talents of the Cabrini children. Each act was met with enthusiastic applause, as the audience marveled at the children's confidence and skill.
The event concluded with heartfelt expressions of gratitude from the Catholic Mothers Apostolate, acknowledging the hard work and dedication of the children and the supportive community that made the event possible. The children received Christmas gifts from St. Nicholas (a tradition they always have of getting a friend to dress like St. Nicholas).
This first stage performance is just the beginning for the Cabrini children, as they continue to explore their artistic abilities and grow in confidence. The Catholic Mothers Apostolate remains committed to providing opportunities for these young individuals to shine, fostering a sense of community and belonging in the spirit of Mother Cabrini.
“This evening is more than a performance; it is a gift we offer to the newborn King. And it is a moment especially dear to us because the Child Jesus was deeply loved by Santa Francesca Cabrini… and today we are very privileged to be here in her London home. Yes, this Saint walked on these very same grounds!!! ”
