Sister Evarlyne shared her enriching journey to Rome, where she attended the Jubilee of the Youth from July 28th to August 3rd. This event, which gathered young people from around the globe, was a celebration of faith, unity, and excitement. Sister Evarlyne recounted the vibrant atmosphere and the profound sense of community she experienced. Her stories painted vivid pictures of the lively gatherings, the inspiring speeches, and the shared moments of reflection and prayer that marked the Jubilee.
In addition to her tales from Rome, Sister Evarlyne also presented on the theme of Education of the Heart. This concept emphasizes the importance of nurturing not just the intellect but also the emotional and spiritual well-being of students creating in them wonderful Citizens of the future. Sister Evarlyne highlighted how this approach can lead to more compassionate and empathetic communities and how the teachers should be addressing the mind, body, and spirit to foster complete personal growth.
“Study well the personalities, the strengths of the students, because one cannot presume, they are all the same. Treat each one according to their capacity and the gifts they have received from God”
Education of the heart encourages the teachers to understand and exercise kindness towards their students’ creating environments where they feel loved, valued and supported. Sister Evarlyne's visit was both inspirational and educational, leaving a lasting impact on the Novices as they continue with their religious journey.
