On October 9th, we embarked on another meaningful day of our pilgrimage, filled with spiritual enrichment and profound experiences. The day began with the Eucharistic celebration for the Jubilee of the Consecrated life at the iconic St. Peter's Square, presiding over the Mass was our Pope Leo XIV, whose presence added a sense of reverence and awe to the gathering.

The square was alive with the hymns and prayers of pilgrims from around the world, each bringing their own unique devotion and faith to the sacred space. The atmosphere was both solemn and joyous as the congregation united in worship under the clear blue sky, surrounded by the majestic architecture of the Vatican.

In the afternoon, we had the opportunity of having our pilgrimage the Holy Door of the Basilica of St. Peter carrying the Jubilee Cross and praying together as a Cabrinian Family. This act, rich in symbolism, represented a passage into a deeper spiritual journey and an invitation to renew our faith.  As we passed through the Holy Door, a sense of peace and reflection enveloped us. It was a reminder of the mercy and grace that the pilgrimage offers, a chance for transformation and renewal.

The Basilica itself, with its awe-inspiring art and architecture, served as a testament to the enduring faith and devotion of countless generations before us. Each step through its sacred halls was a journey through time, connecting us with the history and tradition of the Church.

As the day concluded, we gathered to reflect on the experiences and insights gained. The Mass and the journey through the Holy Door had deepened our connection to our faith, providing us with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment.

The day was a beautiful blend of personal introspection and communal celebration, underscoring the universal nature of our shared beliefs. Our pilgrimage continued, but the memories of October 9th would remain a cherished part of our spiritual journey.

MSCs on a pilgrimage to the Holy Door carrying the Jubilee Cross and praying together

As men and women religious, monks, nuns and contemplatives................ you have come to Rome to undertake the Jubilee Pilgrimage together. You have come to entrust your lives to the same mercy to which, through your religious profession, you once committed yourselves to bear witness, because living out your vows means abandoning yourselves like children into the arms of the Father.
— Pope Leo XIV
