Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in London
During the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sr. Rosa Maria had the opportunity to meet with a group known as The Catholic Mothers in London. This group consists of mothers who come together for prayer, scripture study, and discussions about Church documents. Their gatherings also provide a supportive environment where they can share experiences of their faith and life as mothers. Importantly, these mothers include their children in these meetings, offering social activities to the younger ones.
Sr. Rosa Maria spoke passionately about the spirituality of the Sacred Heart and the life of Mother Cabrini. She highlighted that the Heart of Jesus symbolizes God's boundless love for every individual. She encouraged the mothers to embrace their mission of spreading Jesus' love within their families and communities. The group was delighted to learn more about Mother Cabrini and the global mission inspired by her work. The meeting ended with a beautiful mass, celebrating the significance of the solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with reverence and joy.
On the same day, Sr. Rosa Maria also met with a group of 25 adolescents at St. William of York Parish in London. Her discussion with them centered on the concepts of vocation and the Sacred Heart, emphasizing love as a fundamental calling. She inspired them to express love through tangible acts of kindness, empathy, and friendship.
To make the experience interactive, Sr. Rosa Maria invited the adolescents to write on paper hearts how they intended to share love in the world. They then exchanged these hearts with their friends, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. The activity was met with enthusiasm and joy, leaving a lasting impact on the young participants.
