Farewell Celebration for Mr. Teshome Desta
On Sunday, April 17th, our sisters in Ethiopia came together to celebrate and bid farewell to Mr. Teshome (our driver) for his dedicated service. The event was a heartfelt occasion, filled with gratitude and appreciation for his contributions over the past years.
The celebration was graced by Mr. Teshome's family, the Capuchin fathers, and seminarians. Additionally, three members from the Cabrini Lay Missionaries (CLM) joined us, along with a guest from Hawassa. We were also delighted to have our sisters from Sadama, Wolacha, Addis Ababa, Kenya community as well as Sr. Tigist Hailemariam. Young women from Kenya, who are participating at the Come and see program, were also present to share in the festivities.
On behalf of everyone, the sisters conveyed their deep gratitude to Mr. Teshome for his many years of service. In return, Mr. Teshome expressed his appreciation for all the support and kindness he received from the MSC
The celebration included a delightful lunch, where everyone shared stories and laughter. A gift was presented to Mr. Teshome as a token of our appreciation. His children were especially touched and honored by the special farewell held in his honor.
We concluded the day with a final prayer, offering blessings for Mr. Teshome’s future endeavors. A group photo session captured the joyous moments shared among friends and family.
