Celebration of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini's 187th Birthday
On July 15th, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini community in Sadama, Ethiopia, joyfully celebrated the 187th birthday of Mother Cabrini. This special occasion was marked by a heartfelt Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Fr. Geziegn Mancha, the parish priest of St. Anne Parish in Sadama.
Grateful for a beautiful Mass and our community
The day began with a Eucharistic celebration that brought together the sisters and the Cabrini Lay Missionaries (CLMs) candidates. The Mass was a beautiful tribute to St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, honoring her enduring legacy and the profound impact she has had on the lives of many. During the Homily, Fr. Gazeign gave the sisters an opportunity of sharing about Mother Cabrini which was a unique moment for the sisters and the CLMs in formation to express their thoughts about Mother Cabrini.
Following the Mass, the sisters had prepared a delightful breakfast, inviting everyone to continue the birthday celebration in a spirit of community and gratitude. The gathering was filled with laughter, sharing, and a deep sense of appreciation for the life and mission of Mother Cabrini.
The community expressed their heartfelt thanks for the gift of Mother Cabrini, especially celebrating her birth, which has inspired countless individuals to live lives of service and compassion.
