Sr. Hanna Dima Meeting with the Cabrini Lay Missionaries in Ethiopia

On 21st of June, a significant gathering took place involving a group of four Cabrini Lay Missionaries (CLMs) who met with Sr. Hanna Dima MSC. This meeting was especially meaningful as June is celebrated as the month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Sr. Hanna guided the group in reflecting on the profound love and compassion embodied by the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Sr. Asnakech Asefa, Sr. Hanna Dima and the CLMs.

During their meeting, Sr. Hanna shared how as Missionary Sister of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (MSC), carries the Charism of being bearers of Christ' love in the world. This wonderful Charism is shared not only among the sisters but also with their partners in the mission and the CLM families. She drew inspiration from 1 John 4:9-11, “In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world that we might have life through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us. . .. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also must love one another” and from St. Saint Paul letter we see some of the features of true love: (1 Cor 13:4-7).

The meeting proceeded with a heartfelt reflection on the love of Jesus. The group contemplated how they could share this divine love within their mission and with everyone they encounter. It was a time for personal contemplation and collective commitment to embodying and spreading this love in their everyday lives.
